Boyce Flener was born and raised near the banks of the Green River in the small town of Morgantown, KY. The river and its surrounding river bottoms and hardwood ridges have been his back yard for most of his life. While spending time hunting small game and fishing on the river with his family, he developed a love and appreciation for nature and the outdoors early in life. During his childhood days deer and turkeys were rare, but boy have things changed. Kentucky now holds great numbers of both whitetails and wild turkeys, and according to North American Whitetail Magazine, Kentucky is second only to Illinois in the numbers of Boone and Crockett bucks per acre. In 2008 a 249 inch nontypical monster was taken in Butler County during the modern firearms season. Boyce still makes his home in Morgantown with his wife, Kimberly, and daughter, Amanda, and stills bears a passion for hunting. |
