Of Illinois's 102 counties, Cook County had the most land and farms for sale. The most expensive piece of land listed for sale in Illinois on Lands of America recently was $10 million, while the median price for land and other rural acreage for sale in Illinois was $289,043. The average price of land and rural property for sale in Illinois was $413,659. There was 3,504 acres of sold land in Illinois recorded in September 2018 through the Lands of America sales program. This reflects an increase in sales activity over data from August 2018. The total value of this sold land and rural real estate was $27.0 million.
